Client: Arthrex Project: OrthoPedia Medical Education Video Product

Overview:

Arthrex, a global leader in medical device innovation and orthopedic education, embarked on the development of an innovative medical education video product named OrthoPedia. This dynamic and comprehensive learning experience was designed to meet the educational needs of orthopedic surgeons and professionals, providing them with a rich resource for improving their orthopedic surgery and musculoskeletal medicine knowledge.

Challenge: The goal was to create a platform that not only delivered high-quality educational content but also engaged the learners effectively. The challenge was to produce a large volume of educational videos while maintaining exceptional quality and adhering to Arthrex's brand guidelines.

Team and Contributions: As a key member of the project team, the individual played a significant role in the creation of OrthoPedia. They contributed by producing over 60 videos from start to finish, showcasing their skills in audio and video recording, sourcing X-rays and MRIs, and creating 3D product images, medical illustrations, and animations. Their meticulous attention to detail allowed them to correct colors and edit audio to achieve outstanding quality in all the finished assets.

Additionally, their leadership and art direction were instrumental in guiding the visual aesthetics of the product. They were involved in decisions ranging from font color and asset spacing to the overall look and feel of the videos. The darker visual style they introduced helped direct viewers' attention to the most critical elements on the screen, enhancing the learning experience.

Video Creation Process:

Content Preparation:

  • Arthrex's medical staff developed the lesson content using PowerPoint, which underwent various stages of refinement before reaching the Media Production team.

Review and Feedback:

  • The individual meticulously reviewed the completed videos, offering feedback and suggestions to enhance quality and accuracy. Their iterative feedback process ensured the final videos met the desired standards.

Video Production:

  • The Media Production team transformed the creative direction notes, voiceovers, images, text, video clips, and animations into cohesive educational videos.

Creative Direction:

  • The individual provided creative direction notes to guide the team's video production process, ensuring alignment with the envisioned aesthetics and learning objectives.

Asset Editing and Animation:

  • The individual was responsible for editing all assets to align with the established brand identity. They also created complex animations to enhance the visual appeal and educational value of the videos.

Achievement:

  • The culmination of the team's dedication and hard work was recognized with the prestigious Golden Edison Award in 2021. This esteemed accolade not only celebrated the team's outstanding contributions but also validated their unwavering commitment to excellence in creating OrthoPedia.com.
